I was lucky enough to spend a few days up exploring Mag-aso Falls done near Kabankalan on Negros Occidental. It was a 2 hour trip from Bacolod City and then another 1.5 hour trip my Tricycle to the the Mag-aso Falls Resort.
Long trip to Mag-aso Falls
The longest part of the trip was going by Tricycle, because the hills up into the mountains were so steep, the bike could not make it up the hill with us on the bike so we did all the vertical walking in order to make it to the top.
It was certainly well worth the trip, at Mag-aso Falls we were rewarded with beautiful vistas of the valley, the water falls, and all of the amazing flowers in the area. There was also a fantastic swimming pool to be enjoyed there if you were not into swimming in the Mag-aso Falls proper.
There were many fantastic picture opportunities at Mag-aso falls. Not just the main falls, but there were some smaller falls further down from the main one, as well above the falls, there were a couple of larger streams that headed down into the valley for picture opportunities If you get a chance to make it there you will not be disappointed I am so.Tags: Asian, Bacolod City, Canon, Canon 7D, Landscape, Mag-aso Falls, Nature, Negros Occidental, Philippines, Southeast Asia, Travel, Tropical
